The decision by the Trousdale County Commission to approve "good neighbor" guidelines for the plant includes a provision requiring its operator to store no more than 2,000 tons of radioactive waste on the site and also remove such waste from the site within ninety days of its creation.
Already the group, led by European uranium enrichment firm Urenco, is being courted by other counties and states, whose officials are driven by a desire for the jobs and taxes that such a plant would generate along with its dirty and dangerous waste.
