  IEEE Computer Society Bioinformatics Conference
The computational task is to map and characterize the number and types of copy number alterations present in the tumors, and so define copy number phenotypes as well as to associate them with known biological markers.
It is thus imperative to have a computational infrastructure capable of more than storing the raw data: aiding the planning of an experiment; facilitating communication between the groups involved in its execution; and analyzing its results in an organized, consistent manner.
Development of the robust computational algorithms for protein identification in mass spectrometry (MS) experiments is a challenging data analysis problem with a typical set of "biological attributes": abundance of experimental noise, incomplete data, and possibility of wild card factors such as posttranslational modifications.

This product never appeared and was actively denied by Apple CEO Steve Jobs, but some suggest it was used as the basis of the iMac design.

"Since these people were entered as having used their eligibility, even though the computer did not record their vote, they were not able to resubmit their ballots when disk space was freed," according to the election commission statement.
