Time - Encyclopedia.WorldSearch   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-15)
Time has long been perceived as a dimension in which each event has a definite (but not necessarily unique) position in a linear sequence, but as differing from spatial dimensions in that "motion" through time appears restricted to having only a forward direction.
Modern physics treats time as a feature of spacetime, a notion which challenges intuitive conceptions of simultaneity and the flow of time in a linear fashion.
However, some aspects of time use are relatively stable over long periods of time, such as the amount of time spent traveling to work, which despite major changes in transport, has been observed to be about 20-30 minutes one-way for a large number of cities over a long period of time.

 Seed Time And Harvest
Harvest time is the most busy time of all the year, and every member of the Church who is interested in the Lord's work, should be on hand ready to engage in it to the full extent of his ability.
The harvesters should expect just what they find, only here a little and there a little wheat in the midst of a great mass of tares with which the whole field is overrun, and that comparatively small number must be sought out with great care; for it is of great value.
The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels--messengers or missionaries.

Other harvest customs, such as the baking of a loaf in the figure of a child, suggest ancient sacrificial rites of harvest time.

All of the plot elements from A Time to be Born and A Time to Die that are critical to know for this story are recapped within the narrative of A Time to Sow.
At times it almost feels as if the authors were working from the premise that the reader might not remember enough of the details from the episodes they reference in the story to get it without having their memory jogged.
As the story opens the crew is communally frustrated, at a very low point in their lives and careers, but what they experience on this mission seems to bring about a renewal of their individual and collective spirits.

Several weeks after the events of A TIME TO BE BORN and A TIME TO DIE, Captain Picard and the crew of the Enterprise-E are sent to investigate the mystery behind the destruction of the Dokaalan home world and the final fate of its people.
There’s a lot of obvious recapping and introspection from A TIME TO BE BORN and A TIME TO DIE within the first 150-plus pages of A TIME TO SOW, and this tends to slow down the action in the first half of the novel.
A TIME TO HARVEST picks up hip-deep in the middle of the action, with the Enterprise-E navigating its way through a treacherous asteroid field, Geordi missing in action, Data out of commission, and the Dokaalan colony under attack from an unseen enemy.

Scriptures show that our Savior was born in the Fall of the year around the harvest time, probably on the Feast of Trumpets or near the Feast of Tabernacles.

Although we could spend much time documenting endless sources testifying to the fact that the evergreen tree in religion predates the Christian era by thousands of years, the important fact to absorb is that it's use is always non-Biblical and always heathen.
