The worldvision tapes were kinda nice for their time, though I used to find it amusing how splicy the cartoons were presented, especially to see the shift in color due to the faded prints used of the "Harvey Films" copyrighted titles.
Anyway, this preamble serves as an introduction to my real point, which is that all these Harvey characters can be seen in Harveytoons which begins on KTV this afternoon at 3pm.
It may not be the same as flipping through the comics, with their unique smell, their text balloons and their adverts for mysterious American products, but today's generation are bound to love the characters all the same.

Actually, I just saw that four DVDs of Harveytoons is scheduled for release in Norway in January.
There was no information at all about the relase, just that Harveytoons vol1-4 will be released January 18th.
Fox Family Channel has licensed 65 half-hour episodes of Harveytoons from Harvey Entertainment, and will air the shows on Saturdays and Sundays starting in fall 1998.
Harveytoons is a collection of repackaged, classic animated cartoons from the Harvey library featuring characters such as Casper, Baby Huey, Herman and Katnip, Little Audrey and Buzzy the Crow.
Harvey Entertainment is reviving these characters through a bevy of licensing deals and a new, direct-to-video animated feature, Casper Meets Wendy.
During the last week, I was able to make some contacts over at Classic Media and I have gotten word from the company, that the long awaited Harveytoons dvd collectors set, has been "DELAYED" until sometime next year.
One of the pictures I was able to see on the back cover looked like it was from one of the 1960s made-for-TV cartoons.
