The four villages on this terrace, now called Hasliberg Reuti, Hasliberg Wasserwendi, Hasliberg Goldern and Hasliberg Hohfluh, can be reached by road from the Brünig-Hasliberg pass and train station.
It has become a popular destination for winter sports, as gondola lifts run from Meiringen through Hasliberg Reuti to Planplatte (at over 2200 meters elevation), as well as from Hasliberg Wasserwendi to Käserstatt.
An international boarding school, the Ecole d'Humanité, is located in the Hasliberg Goldern village.

The snow sport resorts of Hasliberg, in the Bernese Oberland/Switzerland, with Engelberg-Titlis, and the Melchsee-Frutt ski area in Central Switzerland are planning to connect their ski slopes.
With a total of 51 lifts and cable cars, and over 210 kilometres of downhill runs, the new “Snow Paradise Hasliberg — Titlis” will be one of the biggest snow sport areas of the Alps.
The cost of connecting these three ski resorts is estimated at approximately 48 million Swiss Francs to a maximum of 59 million Swiss Francs.

Joan acquired a brochure at Orientation describing a walk along the Hasliberg that traces its architectural history from the 1500s to the 1930s.
While we've seen this Muggestutz many times from the bus going to and from the train station, we now had no excuse on exiting the flea market for not walking across the street so that Dick could photograph Joan hugging her mascot.
Anyway, from the Brunig-Hasliberg train station we took the bus along Hasliberg as far as Twing where we purchased one-way tickets for the gondola ride to Kaserstatt, the starting point for this Dwarf Trail.

There are many places to eat in in and around Hasliberg - visit www.alpenregion.ch, (this can be in English) and click on gastronomy.
I understand that the Hotel Gletscherblick in Hasliberg Goldern is very good - it is undergoing some renovation work at the moment - it is about a 15 minute walk away.
The restaurant at the Rehaklinik at Hasliberg Hoh - Hohfluh is also recommended by our neighbours but this is a short drive away, or a longer walk for those of you who want to incorporate exercise in the visit.

is a village in the Hasliberg area of Switzerland.
The Hasliberg area is a mountainous region with many paths and hillside villages to explore.
The ascent is not steep and crosses meadows and woodland to reach Reuti.
