		I'll never be a fan of the grunted brutal death metal vocal style, but Rutan's vocals are at least tolerable due to their being in a bit of a higher register (relatively speaking) than most brutal death vocalists I've heard.
		Hate Eternal is Erik Ruatan on guitars and lead vocals, Doug Cerrito on guitars, Jared Anderson on bass, and Tim Yeung on drums.

		Death metal bands really would be better off scrapping intros unless the band can actually in some way strengthen the overall effect of the CD with an intro (It’s frustrating as hell that on this CD I can’t skip the minute of bullshit noises and get straight to the metal).
		Hate’s vicious and almost militaristic approach adds a nice differentiation between their brand of Polish Death metal and others, but they also get caught up in a severe lack of variety and dynamic contrast that other bands in the scene seem to have mastered.

		With both the appeal and quality of death metal waning it is albums like this that gives one hope for the future of the genre.
		HATE ETERNAL have all the elements needed for a band of consequence in the death scene but at the same time they don't come across as trite or redundant.
		They are incredibly deft with their instruments but at the same time they haven't forgotten how important rawness and primitivism are to the overall impact of death metal.

		Five years ago Vomitory released a 10-year anniversary limited edition 10" to commemorate-- and that was before they'd even released anything of relative renown.
		Then again their first "breakthrough" came when Metal Blade picked 'em up and released "Revelation Nausea" in 2000 when the bands' fortunes as just another moribund gratuitous killing machine with instruments and poor speech changed to equate them on a similar level with the many Death stalwarts appearing overseas and stateside.
		Not that faceless "Fadeless" Records releases and 7" cut-ups don't account for something, but in the first place, from '93 to '96 to '99, who knew, and for those who did, good luck getting 'em.

		While DARK AGES features some of the most “metal” moments Cavalera has laid down since CHAOS A.D., the middle third of the album completely goes off the deep end into an experimental mish-mash of tracks that seem to have been thrown together on a whim.
		“I and I,” “Arise Again,” “Frontlines” and “Fuel The Hate” are thrashy tracks that could have been taken from as far back as the ARISE record, which should please fans hungry for Cavalera to return to that sound.

		THE PROJECT HATE haben schon vor einiger Zeit ihre dritte Scheibe rausgebracht, die mir aber erst vor Kurzem ins Haus geflattert kam.
		Wie schon beim Vorgänger bildet Death Metal die Grundlage für eine knappe Stunde heftige Musik, wobei sich THE PROJECT HATE aber nicht auf stumpfes Gebolze beschränken, sondern durch die Zunahme einer weiblichen Sängerin (die auf wie eine Frau klingt und nicht wie SINISTER-Rachel), massiven Keyboard-Einsatz und viel elektronischen Spielereien sehr ’anders’ klingt.
		Hate, Dominate, Congregate, Eliminate” ist eine interessante Metal-Platte geworden, die einiges an Beschäftigung voraussetzt und den Hörer sicher nicht durch Eintönigkeit langweilen wird.

		They may remind you of RAGING SPEEDHORN (without their doomy moments), HELVIS and in general all these bands of the new British sludge-harcore sound.
		The good production and the decent vocals are not good enough reasons to help the band avoid mediocrity.
		Definitely something unusual for the Israeli metal scene, but not much more than that.
