  Hatebreed : iSOUND.COM™
Hatebreed are the standard-bearer for a burgeoning underground hardcore scene: war-painted heroes charging forward into the mainstream with a pack of screaming soldiers behind them.
Hatebreed is the collective voice of "the others" - the downtrodden, the dispossessed- holding the torch aloft for everyone who has ever been cast aside.
Hatebreed's particular brand of 'balance' means Jamey having to juggle leading a band, managing several up-and-coming acts, hosting a show for MTV, raising a family, running a label imprint and booking shows.

If you're not familiar with Hatebreed they take the power and heavyness of death and thrash metal and mix it up with some hardcore to make pure aggressive, raw and powerful metalcore.
Hatebreed's lyrics throughout this whole album are meaningful and raw, the title of the album "Perseverance" sums up the overall lyrical content.

Hatebreed will be doing an in-store signing (there will be NO performance) at Vintage Vinyl on September 10th @ 2 PM before their show at Starland Ballroom.
Hatebreed wrote 'The Rise Of Brutality,' their much-anticipated follow-up to 2002's acclaimed 'Perseverance,' the same way they crafted their first demo in Connecticut nearly ten years ago - gathering in a basement and jamming, narrowing it down to just over thirty minutes of passionate, sing-along ready musical exorcism.

On Supremacy, HATEBREED, who've toured with everyone from Slayer to new labelmates Slipknot, deftly illustrate all the things that have made them one of the underground heavy metal scene's most beloved and most important bands of the past decade.
It also presents a new and improved HATEBREED, who took some time, celebrated their ten-year anniversary with a sold-out tour, reconnected with their fans, navigated some personal issues, and then recorded an album that is as hulking as it is tight, as tough as it positive.
The ease and comfort of the process sparked HATEBREED’s creativity, and as a result, Supremacy combines the raw, intense bite of their debut, Satisfaction Is The Death Of Desire, with the tectonic-plate-shifting power of Perseverance, resulting in their best effort to date.

Hatebreed - Supremacy : album review
I highly doubt that Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta is familiar with this quote uttered by French archbishop François Fénelon in the 17th century; however that hasn't prevented the hardcore legend from basing his entire approach to life and music upon a similar sentiment.
From their outset Hatebreed have been blasting out aggressive anthems calling for hope and unity among the masses, and after a wait of nearly three years, the follow up to The Rise Of Brutality shows no sign of their ideology fading.
Part of Hatebreed's success undoubtedly lies in their ability to lace songs of such devastating heaviness with messages that refuse to revel in the anger of today's obstacles without seeking wholeheartedly for a way through them.

At least they haven't gone to shit in the hopes of trying to change their sound and progress in to something they shouldn't be.
Hatebreed have found their comfort zone and as long as they keep churning out tunes like they do, I don't see how anyone can complain.
The breakdowns are some of the hardest laid down on tape, and anyone that has seen Hatebreed live will confirm that mosh parts are an integral part of the formula.

Yes, the same Hatebreed that turned OZZfest on end in the summer of 2001, their sidestage performances inspiring mosh pits that consumed thousands of fans, their music bleeding the blitzkrieg of hardcore with the metallic thunder of extreme metal, and their message opting for the profound, rather than the profane.
Their first tour was filled with performances in garages, backyards, an infrequent veteran's hall, and an even less frequent date with a real promoter, and they traveled from show to show in unregistered, uninsured vehicles.
By the end of 1996, they were the top-selling band for indie distributor Victory Records, and with the release of their full-length debut Satisfaction Is The Death Of Desire in 1997, they were a marquee hardcore draw in the Northeast.
