This track was made as a part of the campaign for the Israeli parliament of the Ale Yarok party, a party supporting the legalization of Marijuana.
Hatikva served us well for a long time, but I think there is a new hope in Israel now, not so much of longing, but more for happiness, peace and joy, and this track expresses it somehow.
Now for the track itself, this is Hatikva 'Nitzhonot' style, but still it has something in it- the melody is there, and it is a strong emotional one, especially for those Israelis that have been singing it since they can remember themselves.

About The Israeli National Anthem – Hatikva
The title of the national anthem, HATIKVA, means “The Hope.” It was written by Naftali Herz Imber (1856-1909), who moved to Palestine in 1882 from Galicia.
The melody was arranged by Samuel Cohen, an immigrant from Moldavia, from a musical theme in Smetana's "Moldau" that is based on an Eastern European folk song.
Hatikva expresses the hope of the Jewish people, that they would someday return to the land of their forefathers as prophesied in the Old Testament.

Actually, so have the lyrics of "Hatikva" over the years, even though the current version has assumed such totemic, almost scriptural status that to suggest a change is, as one writer recently noted, tantamount to sacrilege.
In its present form, "Hatikva" was the Israeli national anthem from the founding of the state but was established as such by law only last November, in legislation that went relatively unnoticed.
Even if Israel modified "Hatikva," Jewish symbols and imagery would remain woven into the fabric of the state — literally, in the case of the national flag, with its Star of David in the center.

First of all, Hatikva has never been a "traditional Hebrew melody." If, for four centuries, the tune has been popular in various European countries, there was no specific Jewish character to it.
On the music sheets used during the rehearsals, Hatikva is simply described as a "traditional Hebrew melody".

When I was in Poland two years ago, every ceremony ended with the singing of 'Hatikva,' the national anthem of Israel.
We sang it at the Children's Forest, where 800 children were separated from their parents and murdered, and we sang it in Jedwabne, where 1,600 Poles rose up in 1941 and murdered their 1,500 Jewish neighbors without a German in sight.
Without thinking, I said aloud, 'Hatikva' and it seemed that they heard me. Suddenly, I could hear others screaming 'Hatikva, Hatikva' and the broadcaster even announced that there were calls for the national anthem.
