		It was directed by Barbara Kopple and, although it played at several film festivals, the movie did not receive a theatrical release in the U.S., the distributors deciding instead to release the film straight to DVD on November 29, 2005.
		This film was the subject of much Internet -based rumor, due to reports that its star, Anne Hathaway, takes part in several nude scenes as well as scenes of a sexual nature.
		Another rumor related to this film is that Disney somehow convinced a rival studio not to release the film in competition with Hathaway's ''Princess Diaries'' sequel, but this has not been confirmed.

		The makers of "Max Havoc: Curse of the Dragon," want to hire and train Guam residents to work on that film and two other films to be shot here by next year.
		A second "Max Havoc" film will be shot on Guam later this year, Pyun said, and a third film -- the title of which has not been released -- will be shot on island early next year.
		About 40 people are being flown in to work on the current film, Pyun said, and the goal is to bring in as few as five people by the time the third film is ready to be shot next February.

		We have seen her in movies with a younger target audience and I personally loved her in all of those films (Ella Enchanted, PD1 and 2, Nicholas Nickleby, Other Side of Heaven).
		Many people have been saying that this film is no more than a porno, but I think it shows some very interesting and real aspects of life.
		I am a 17 year old girl and I know some people who run with crowds like these and what was portrayed in the movie is not a far cry from what actually happens in reality.

		The only real noteworthy place this film has in cinematic history is that is includes rather adult performances from actors better know for family faire.
		It seems that 99 percent of what is written about this film concerns the nude scenes of the previously pure as driven snow Ms Hathaway.
		The film is not all that bad and is worth a watch for fans of the teen angst genre.

		The plot (that of rich white kids trying to be tough and “gangsta“) was good in concept but poorly executed; throughout most of the movie it gets overpowered by the thinly veiled moral that rich teens pretend to be something their not to escape the doldrums of being rich.
		For us red-blooded men, the only saving grace of Havoc is that Anne Hathaway does the bare and nasty not once but twice (a thinly veiled attempt to shed her good girl image).
		I rented Havoc b/c I saw a preview for it and was intrigued by Anne Hathaway getting her “dirty girl” on.

		Overall, this film definitely had potential to be a good film and could have been done wonders with a few more plot intricacies and more character development.
		I heard that Mandy Moore was originally cast as the lead for this film and I have to wonder if she bailed given what the role required or if they changed the script to give it this "harder" edge that it has now.
		But then "Havoc" backs off and after an initial sense of relief you realize this is a movie that was made with the safety on, which puts us in the "no guts, no glory" territory.
