Po is the ultimate ancestor of all Hawaiian Gods; she is the source of life, of divinity, and of ancestral wisdom.
Hawaiian gods and goddesses — known as Akua — were created when Po spontaneously gave birth to a son and daughter, Kumulipo (male night) and Po'ele (female night).

While ancient poems certainly were chanted to various gods of Hawaiian mythology, just as they have been by other cultures since the beginnings of time, little music is composed or sung in contemporary times about these familiar mythological figures.
I have to do a mythology research project for school.
