Moving to New York the nascent Heads landed a gig, opening for The Ramones at the legendary CBGBs club.

Deadhead - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Because of the practice of distributing Dead music in lossless formats -- with checksum verification of file integrity -- and since the music continually circulates, the body of free Dead music is perpetually re-archived.
Because of this, and the fact that the Dead's music is being continually re-archived, it is taken as an article of faith by some that the band will "live forever".

Talking Heads: 77 is an astonishing debut with uncomplicated, almost low-key music supporting tense, bizarre lyrics, sung by Byrne in a wavering voice.
Talking Heads — three conservative-looking refugees from the Rhode Island School of Design — first appeared on the New York Bowery circuit in mid-1975, playing on a CBGB bill headlined by the Ramones.
From the outset, it was clear that, although the Heads shared an attitude and commitment to self-expression with the other bands then on the New York scene, they were charting a course all their own.

 Tweed Heads
Tweed Heads is as far north as you can get in NSW, with the town abutting the Queensland border, and turning into Coolangatta on the other side, with both known as the Twin Towns.
The town of Tweed Heads was for many years just a sleepy coastal service centre, but as the adjoining Gold Coast grew more and more popular, the simple facilities of the middle of last century became more sophisticated, with the revenue from poker machines building and lavishly maintaining large clubs.
However, the highrise development which marks the Gold Coast further north, is largely absent from Tweed Heads and the residential areas have tended to spread out across newer regions rather than skywards.

This and '77 may not be the best Talking Heads albums, but they amply demonstrate that, when left to their own devices, this group could still pull out some friggin' interesting music.
Even if you don't have an interest in Talking Heads, you should have this; with 33 tracks, representing 28 tracks from the band's first four albums (and two non-album tracks), this really does satisfy the cliche of "Only Talking Heads Album You Need." The latter is just as good, though, with the first few seconds just about defining "Talking Heads" for me, with Dave simulating a snippy conversation between a couple before offering "commentary," all over the usual great basslines and guitar what-not's.

 Press Releases
In September, 2001, the Aurora Coalition, a small group of current and former residents, filed suit against the village government and Wells College to re-examine the college’s plan to gut the interior and alter the exterior of the Aurora Inn and demolish an adjacent building to make way for an addition.
In addition, plans call for a total reconfiguration of the upper floors, the addition of windows, the creation of a glassed-in garden room, and the introduction of sky-lights and kitchenettes.
We understand it may have been frustrating for the college and foundation to learn that their vision for Aurora was not shared by the whole village, or endorsed by the wider preservation community.
