  Jefferson County Townships
This township is bounded on the north by Barnett and Heath townships; on the east by Warsaw; on the south by Union, Rose and Pine Creek, and on the west by Clarion county.
It is one of the northern tier of townships, and adjoins the Elk county line; being bounded on the north by Elk county and Heath township, on the east by Snyder, on the south by Warsaw, and on the west by Warsaw and Heath.
Warsaw is one of the largest townships in the county, and is bounded on the north by Polk and Heath; on the east by Snyder and Washington; on the south by Washington and Pine Creek, and on the west by Eldred.

 David H. Heath
Heath had to satisfy himself by moving in buildings acquired from absent settlers and abandoned homes, and thus made himself a composite house, it being in fact four or five original homes gathered together in a group and arranged and systematized for his own convenience.
Heath helped organize the first school district in this part of the county, District No. 4, and while living in Stevens County he filled every office in Lincoln Township and was County commissioner for a portion of one term, when he became disgusted with office holding and resigned.
Heath the other Wheaton children were: William C., who served in the Union army with an Ohio regiment; Annie, who married John A. Krepps and lives in Toledo, Ohio; Phoebe, deceased wife of Ed Dare; Edward, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; Carrie, wife of Alexander Chamberlain, of Toledo, Ohio.

Heath never engaged in trapping or hunting as a means of livelihood, he did in the early days pick up bones of the buffalo from the prairies.
Heath is a son of Reverend Isaac and a grandson of Isaac Heath, who was of Welsh stock and a native of Massachusetts.

Heath, with the assistance of the jailor, provided tools that enabled the prisoners to file the lock from their cell and escape.

This township lies in range 7 north, 3 west, and is bounded on the north by Warren county, on the east by Walnut Grove township, with Emmet on the south and Blandinsville on the west.
Lewis Breiner, a prominent citizen of Sciota township, is a son of Francis J. Breiner, of Prairie City township, and was born, October 18, 1842, in Hunterdon county, New Jersey.
Sciota township, according to the annual report of the county superintendent, for the school year, ending June 30, 1884, has 452 children of school age, 420 of whom are enrolled in the schools.

It is situated on the Delaware River from just south of Byram to Frenchtown, extends to Alexandria and Franklin Townships to the North and East, going south via Locktown and across the north of Delaware Township to the river.
By the mid-1700s we have the Wolvertons owning land on both sides of the King's Highway near the Delaware Township border, George Fox, the Inghams, Joshua Waterhouse near the village of Kingwood to the east, Slaught to the west, bordering land of Rodman.
The house lay to the northwest of the church and was built by Jonathan Wolverton in 1737.

Was born in Pennsylvania in 1828, and at an early age was taken by his parents, Jacob and Elizabeth Krysher, to Knox county, Ohio, where he continued to reside until the year 1850, and in the fall of that year he came to this county and settled where he now resides.
Was born in 1823, in the State of Pennsylvania, and at the age of sixteen his parents moved to Knox county, Ohio; there he grew to manhood a farmer, residing in that county until 1847, when he moved to Montgomery county, Indiana, remaining there for three years.
He came to this township on the 12th day of March, 1860, and settled on his present farm, embracing 600 acres, 520 of which are improved, the balance being timber.

The Heath’s Ferry landing on the Pennsylvania side is most likely to have been between the Borough Line and the Railroad Bridge on the Overton tract on lands never owned by Brock.
Heath’s Ferry must have operated in a similar fashion at the Lower Ferry Road location, but with the base of the triangle on the New Jersey side and the vertex of the triangle on the Pennsylvania side.
The location of the triangle for the initial Heath Ferry is not precisely known, but the ferry may have operated from the same general location as the ferry ramp shown on the 1778 map, with the base of the triangle straddling the ferry ramp just mentioned.

Horsham is one of several townships in Montgomery County whose name and size were determined by master survey lines drawn by William Penn's engineers as they first plotted this part of the colony for sale and settlement.
Charles proposed the name Pennsylvania (Forests of Penn) in honor of William's late father, and he was to own the land, accountable directly yo the King.
Three years after that, in 1717, Horsham Township was established as a municipality entity by a vote of the people, and it was appropriately named after the home town of its founding father.
