Reisman finds it hard to say what the ideal number of stores would be--a matter of intense interest to the industry--but she does disclose that there are five or six superstores that she is considering closing or downsizing over the next year or so.
Reisman says she is a big fan of Canadian books in particular, and plans to further focus on promoting Canadian titles in her stores in the future.
Reisman acknowledges that in the months immediately after the merger, some titles may not have received the attention they deserved, but says the company is working to remedy that situation.

Reisman sells a heck of a lot of her books at full pop and, even when she doesn't, a discount in excess of 30% is pretty much unheard of other than on very old stock being remaindered out.

A local Chapters employee explained that Reisman didn't know that the book was on the shelves, and once she found out that it was, ordered it off the shelves.
Local entrepreneur, John West, co-owner of Titles bookstore, located in downtown Belleville, feels Reismans choice for removal of the book will not have an affect on independent bookstores or the larger bookstores such as Chapters because the book is still available for people.
