In the late 1990s, the Fate character was retired in the new JSA series, and Doctor Fate returned in the person of Hector Hall, the former Silver Scarab, and the son of the Golden Age Hawkman and Hawkgirl.
Nabu had arranged, however, for Hector Hall (the former Silver Scarab and son of the original Hawkman and Hawkgirl) to be reincarnated as the new Doctor Fate, and with the aid of the reformed Justice Society, this came to pass, and Hall took up the mantle.
Hall's identity is known to a clever few who have figured it out, and in his secret identity he socializes with some of the inhabitants of Salem, being on the whole more gregarious than his predecessors.

Daniel is a fictional character, the son of Hipolyta 'Lyta' and Hector Hall, concieved and born in the dreaming, where the Halls were being held prisoner by Brute and Glob, two nightmares who had escaped during Dream's earthly exile (see Preludes and Nocturnes).
Hector Hall is a perenniel DC Character, and has assumed many guises during his stay in the DC Universe, and was at one point the Sandman, hence his inclusion.
This explanation doesn't sit well with Lyta Hall, who feels that Dream has not only robbed her of her husband (Hector was dead, but lived with her in her dreams, Dream put Hector back in his natural place when he took care of Brute and Glob), years of her life, but also now her Son.

This hall was the largest in Paris at that time and, like Victor Horta's similar in concept Maison du Peuple in Brussels of 1897-1899, deserves to be ranked as one of the major achievements of Art Nouveau.
The seats and many of the details such as balustrades were made in cast iron, the sculpted lines expressing the structure and exuding a sense of contained energy.
The present chair is a remarkably rare surviving element from this ambitious and important project, all the more precious for being in its original condition, Guimard's signature abstract, linear embossed motifs still legible in the green upholstery.
