Hector McNeil (10 March 1907 11 October 1955) was a Scottish Labour politician.
McNeil was educated at Woodside School and the University of Glasgow, trained as an engineer and worked as a journalist on a Scottish national newspaper.
McNeil died shortly after keeping his seat in the 1955 election.

Hector McNeil, head gamekeeper on the 7500-acre North Glenbuchat Estate on Strathdon, Aberdeenshire, had admitted the charges at a previous hearing and claimed he was trying to protect grouse stock.
McNeil, 56, a gamekeeper for 30 years, had pled guilty at Aberdeen Sheriff Court to killing a raven - of which there are only two breeding pairs in Grampian - and a common gull using the pesticide aldicarb.
It was claimed McNeil intended to eat some of the eggs and feed the rest to his dog.

McNeil died shortly after keeping his seat in the 1955 election.

Hector McNeil used the illegal poison as a "last resort" to kill the rare bird because legal traps he had set to protect red grouse and pheasant chicks on the estate had been sabotaged, Aberdeen Sheriff Court heard yesterday.
McNeil was also caught in illegal possession of more than 100 common gull eggs he had taken from a colony on the North Glenbuchat Estate in Strathdon, owned by a London financier, where he worked as head gamekeeper.
Jim Craigen, the depute fiscal, told the court that McNeil had been head gamekeeper for 30 years on the sporting estate which was primarily used for shooting red grouse, pheasant and deer.
