Heinkel He 115B-1 was powered by two 865 hp BMW 132N 9-cylinder radial piston engines providing a top speed of 355 kmh and a range of 3350 km.
The Heinkel He 162 was a shoulder-wing cantilever monoplane first flown on the 6th of December 1944 and during its twenty minute flight achieved a speed of 840 kmh before the starboard wing leading edge was torn off during a low-level pass and the pilot was killed in the ensuing high speed crash.
The Heinkel He 50 was armed with a 7.92 mm MG 17 fixed forward-firing machine-gun in the forward fuselage and when used as a two seat reconnaissance aircraft a 7.92 mm MG 15 trainable rearward-firing machine-gun in the rear cockpit.

Heinkel's representative protested that their proposal was being evaluated by standards other than those applied to the other proposals to the detriment of Heinkel's proposal.
Heinkel had nearly carried the day, but it wasn't until two aerodynamicists were consulted that the partisans of the P.211 were finally defeated.
Had Heinkel opted for the 001 engine the combat value of the He 280 would have been greatly reduced as the 001 was a fuel hog and the He 280's design had sacrificed fuel capacity for lighter weight and less drag.

Heinkel was furious and fired Lusser on the spot.
Heinkel was sure he had a winner and sent the design off to the RLM in January 1942 while he funded the first prototype out of pocket.
Nevertheless it's equally clear that the plane should have been allowed to continue to be produced, and an NJG armed with this plane instead of their motley collection of outdated heavy fighters and converted medium bombers would have been considerably stronger opposition for the RAF.

Heinkel He P.1078C Luft '46 Entry
Specifications were issued by the OKL (Luftwaffe High Command), and Heinkel entered their He P.1078C fighter design in the competition for a development or production contract.
The Heinkel He P.1078C had a short, squat fuselage (all metal construction), which contained the single He S 011 jet engine.
A single Heinkel Hirth He S 011 turbojet was mounted in the fuselage rear, and provided 1300 kg (2866 lbs) of thrust.

 heinkel he 219
The Heinkel He 219 Uhu (Owl) was a famous night fighter used late in World War II by the Luftwaffe.
When Robert Lusser returned to Heinkel in 1940 after a brief time at Messerschmitt, he immediately began work on a new high speed bomber project called P.1055.
Another set of changes involved the rear defensive guns which simply didn't work, so they were removed and the forward firing armaments were upgraded to two 20mm guns in the wings and four more guns of any sort in the belly pack.

Ernst Heinkel AG was one of the largest aircraft firms in Hitler's Germany, and it was certainly the most experienced in producing combat aircraft.
The 'American' idea of nosewheel gear was scorned, and Heinkel even had the temerity to pick the Daimler-Benz DB 603 engine, a big and powerful unit that, like the Heinkel project, had never been requested officially, and thus was itself under a cloud.
In the fIrst week of 1943 the third prototype He 219 was flown in mock combat against a Junkers Ju 188 (a type favoured as a night-fighter by Milch), leading to a highly biased RLM report which put in all the He 219's faults and omitted the enthusiastic comments of test pilots.

The Reichsluftfahrtministerium had been lukewarm about the project from the beginning, Heinkel's private venture P.1060 fighter-bomber proposal receiving little encouragement until 1941 when it was seen to have potential as a night-fighter.
Ernst Heinkel did not curry as much favor with the Luftwaffe high command as did many of his contemporaries such as Willie Messerschmitt, Hugo Junkers and Kurt Tank.

Josef Kammhuber, commander of night fighters, the RLM asked Heinkel to redesign the P.1060 as a radar-equipped night fighter.
Production was delayed when RAF raids on Heinkel's Rostock and Vienna-Schwechat factories destroyed nearly all of the drawings in March and April 1943.
Despite the aircraft's successes, Erhard Milch, another Heinkel opponent who was chief of aircraft procurement and supply, persuaded the RLM in May 1944 to cancel the whole program.

When Ernst Heinkel first conceived of the design that would become the He 111, it is doubtful that he could have imagined the aircraft becoming such a huge success and the mainstay for the Luftwaffe bomber fleet.
Heinkel continued to refine the aircraft with better engines and simpler design for manufacturing.

The air entered the burning rooms, (that had a ring-like section and were placed on both sides of the fuselage), from which, through some tubes, burned gases of the engine were evacuated and the propulsion force was generated.
The propulsion force at sea level obtained with this engine was 220 kgf, much larger than that obtained if the piston-engine would have been acted by a propeller.
But lacking the financial support Coanda could not improve his invention such that a second reactive airplane made by Coanda could not be seen flying again.

Number 8-100 was originally allocated to Fieseler, but requested by Heinkel as a "special" number for his aircraft, which was to break the absolute speed record.
Heinkel initially assigned the number He 180 to this project, but this was changed by the RLM to He 280, because it conflicted with the Bü 180.
This digit was - with the exception of "1" for Heinkel - chosen to match the 100 block number assigned to this manufacturer for piston engines.
