  planet
The outer planets, with the exception of Pluto, are called the major planets, and have denser atmospheres consisting mainly of hydrogen and helium gases, and many natural satellites.
Known as 98-35l, the planet was discovered at the Mount Stromlo observatory in Australia and the Mount John observatory in New Zealand.
The planet was given the temporary designation 2003 UB313 (it was originally observed in 2003 but only confirmed as a planet in January 2005).The astronomers used telescopes at the Palomar Observatory, California and Mauna Kea, Hawaii to make their discovery.

It is an extremely variable substance, with eight separate isotopes (carbon 9 through carbon 16) occurring in the pure state in three allotropic forms (coal; amorphous carbon, or graphite; and diamond).
Two of the eight isotopes, carbon 12 and carbon 13, are stable; of these, carbon 12 is the more important, accounting for almost 99% of all occurrences of the element on the planet.
The most abundant radioactive isotope of carbon, carbon 14, is widely used as a "tag" for tracing the course of specific carbon-based molecules in chemical reactions and environmental contamination and as a means of dating archaeological specimens.
