On the back he signs his name 'Yu Wong, Bank President.' The first Hell Bank Notes appeared in 1968 and were printed from woodblocks and also looked like actual paper currency.
It is interesting that they were dated 1968, which was the height of the Cultural Revolution, one of the periods when burning spirit papers was highly criticized.

i was at this chinese store in alhambra today after church, and i was looking around the buddha incense and statue stuff, and i found a stack of hell bank notes and a stack of heaven bank notes (each cost 59 cents and they were worth ten thousand hell or heaven dollars respectively).
i mean, if they thought that he went to hell, and he actually went to heaven, will hell bank notes be worth anything?
is there an exchange rate from hell to heaven dollars?
