Hemp for Victory is a fl-and-white United States government film made during the Second World War, explaining the uses of hemp.
Hemp for Victory is also the title of a definitive book about hemp, published 2006 in London by Whitaker Press (ISBN 0-9549939-0-X).
The book covers the history of hemp and then goes into a section on the many uses of hemp, with practical information on paper, hemp oil, hemp fuel, textiles, rope, etc. Processing and cultivation are also covered systematically, with much reference information given throughout, including a list of world-wide hemp shops and a bibliography.

In this case, we have a film from 1942 that discusses why hemp is so important in the war effort, No, it wasn't used as a drug, but mostly for ropes.
But showing all of this and then going into the production of rope is a bit boring, but I'm sure that the hemp people don't mind, as this film I'm sure will boost their 'cause' I guess, which is always laughable to begin with.

Victory for the Hemp Industries Association (HIA) that pulled in over $10 million in food product sales last year came last week when the San Francisco-based 9th Circuit appeals court judged that the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) does not have authority to bar the sale or possession of all hemp-based food products.
The DEA may regulate marijuana and synthetic forms of the substance that gives the plant its narcotic powers but cannot stop the sale or possession of food products made from hemp plants with small amounts of the substance that makes marijuana, an illegal drug.
This last produces a hemp bread, a line that cashed in over $1million in sales last year.
