He is survived by his wife, Ola Mai Harper, daughter, Becky Fisher, and son, John C. Fisher, all of Hendersonville, TN; brother, Olie Harper and Albert Lee (Tab) Harper, both of Lafayette, TN; sisters, Elizabeth Blankenship, Lafayette, TN; and Ida Willis, Hazel Park, Michigan, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
The Macon County, Tennessee native was born Tuesday, January 12, 1937, a son of the late Harvey Layton Bergdorff and Ada Gustine Sexton Bergdorff, and was a retired painter and carpenter.
She was a former resident of Lafayette, Tennessee, a teacher for the Macon County School System, and a member of Moselle Memorial Baptist Church.

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. - As friends sang gospel and country music classics, June Carter Cash was mourned at funeral services on Sunday not far from the home she shared with husband Johnny Cash during their celebrated careers.
The 73-year-old singing partner and co-writer of his smash hit "Ring of Fire," Cash died on Thursday at Baptist Hospital in Nashville after heart surgery to replace a defective valve.
The funeral at the First Baptist Church was open to the public before a closed service and interment at Hendersonville Memory Gardens outside Nashville.

Hever Castle is a romantic, double moated castle, set in the heart of the Kent countryside.
Later after Anne died, Henry took possession of the castle and gave it to Anne of Cleves.
The castle fell into ruins but was acquired by the wealthy American William Waldorf Astor who beautifully restored the castle and enhanced the gardens, adding a marvelous maze.
