In 1942 Cobbing produced his first monotype poems with typewriter and office duplicator; from 1964 he was very intensely engaged in creating concrete, visual and sound poetry.
Taking technical publication into their own hands allowed Cobbing and his colleagues to have complete control over layout and typography, to make innovative decisions on new formats and forms relevant to the respective publication and to get the final versions out to the readers without middlemen delay.
In the 70s he convoked the Poets Conference, which also supported modernization of a general poetic identity, and became engaged in the council of the Poetry Society, where mainstream and experimental authors battled out their differences.

His activities beginning with the Hendon Experimental Art Club in 1951 eventually grew into his press, Writers Forum which began publishing in 1963.
His weekly Experimental Poetry Workshop and numerous performances of his own poetry, influenced a whole generation of English experimental poets.

I have started a film club which will meet every 3-4 weeks to see a wide selection of films, including the more highbrow end of general releases, independent and foreign language films.
I am looking to set up a cinema club for discerning, committed film buffs who would enjoy meeting up once a month to watch a film and then go for a drink and discussion afterwards.
It'd be cool to get a group of people together to go and see random films, less a club, more a group of people you can contact if you fancy going to see a certain film but don't have anyone to go with at that particular time.

Switching over to hendon been a very smooth process (other than getting Instiki to work again), and it’s just so nice and fast — it’s better in every way (except for the size, I prefer the smaller formfactor).
According to the club’s website, the name began to be used from 1922.
Other sites add that it was because that year, the club moved to new grounds at Windy Hill, near Essendon Airport, which itself was only founded in 1921.

His analysis of the social context of human experimentation helped elucidate the importance of “demand characteristics,” a concept he articulated in a classic paper entitled “On the social psychology of the psychological experiment: with particular reference to demand characteristics and their implications” (American Psychologist, 17: 776-783, 1959).
This manuscript, which was among the most widely cited in psychology for nearly two decades, demonstrated that, in experiments, volunteer subjects respond to a wide range of cues (demands) based on their perceptions of the purpose of the experiment.

There are a few of his strange atmospheric sound art constructions but these never give way to menacing electronics as they have in the past.
