Henley is the jewel in Oxfordshire’s crown, located 56 km / 35 miles west of London.
Henley is best known for its Royal Regatta held every July since 1839 and is regarded as the World's home of Rowing.
With Henley as the hub, a circular walk is an attractive pastime, and one to end with a welcome cup of tea or coffee in one of the town’s many teashops or cafes.

I spent sometime on Saturday morning in Henley and I include a report on what can be seen in a period of about one hour in that charming riverside town.
Henley was first on my agenda for Saturday and having made a leisurely journey through Medmenham from Marlow I parked up in the main street and paid the princely sum of £0.30p for a one hour parking ticket.
Oxford's Queen Street lights were switched on recently but not before an incident occurred where a string of lights collapsed on a Stagecoach bus, which helped to minimise what could have been a serious incident for pedestrians.

 Church Street United Methodist Church - History
Percy Knickerbocker brought to Church Street Church from Texas as pastor, with intention that he lead in the building of a new church.
Although many members preferred rebuilding on the old site, the Building Committee, chaired by H.L. Dulin, recommended constructing a church in Gothic style at the southwest corner of Henley and Main, where the City of Knoxville was in the process of widening Henley Street to connect with the new bridge over the Tennessee River.
Church Street celebrated the 150th anniversary of Methodism in Knoxville (counting from 1816, the erection of the first church) with a special service on May 15 and a historical pageant, "Our Heritage and Our Hope" by Laura Bagwell, with a final scene by Robert Parrott, who also served as narrator.
