I thought Berg was pretty average when we bought him from Blackburn, four or five years on I was sad to see him go.
I remember Berg, mainly from European games which I had watched, being not as quick or as totally reliable, but still a good defender when he was playing on form, who was up for the tackle and up for the game.
With regards to partnership with Stam, it had to be Ronny, Henning never looked totally at ease unless he had been on a good run, but Ronny was able to pick up the game at important moments.
