I had written a letter to Harland Meyer, one of two sons born to Herman and Augusta Schroeder Meyer, who was one of 6 children born to Henry and his second wife, Ernestine Steinke.
Harland never responded to my letter, and when Alvin went to see him, Harland vehemently denied that we were related to him in any way.
From census documents, I was able to determine that Henry was married twice, he married Ernestine Steinke in 1889, but he had immigrated to the US in about 1881-1883.
