Born in Portstewart, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, Henry McCullough is a guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, and is the only Irishman to play the Woodstock Festival (backing Joe Cocker).
McCullough's career took an unusual twist when he moved back to Ireland and joined what was primarily a folk group called Sweeney's Men.
McCullough also appeared as lead guitarist on the original 1970 recording of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar.

William McCullough and his wife were living at an unspecified place in co. Antrim, Northern Ireland, at the birth of their daughter Agnes in January 1868.
William and Ellen McCullough’s connection with Drumbo Parish Church (Church of Ireland) is attested between 1878 and 1891, during which period they had several children baptized there; and their daughter Elizabeth was buried in the churchyard in 1878.
Thomas McCullough worked for some time after his family’s arrival in England as a secretary in a coal mine in Wales which is said to have been owned by his father’s former employer.

On June 1, 1882, Sheriff Willingham asked and received permission to appoint McCullough as a deputy sheriff of Oldham County and as the town marshal of Tascosa.
Henry McCullough was buried in Tascosa’s Boot Hill Cemetery apparently in an unmarked grave.

Henry eagerly drew from his local resources, band-mate and facility-wise, and hooked The Rev up with everything he needed to construct his latest.

 Park McCullough House History- North Bennington, Vermont
Built in 1864-65 by attorney and entrepreneur Trenor Park (1823-1882), the house was designed by Henry Dudley, a prolific New York architect of the popular firm of Diaper and Dudley.
Lizzie and John McCullough made extensive renovations to the house in 1889-90, largely in order to entertain President Benjamin Harrison who had come to town to dedicate the new Bennington Monument.
Lizzie's son, Hall Park McCullough, inherited the house upon her death, and it was lived in by direct descendents of the family until 1965.

Growing up in the seaside resort of Portstewart, Henry's first musical venture was as guitarist with Irish showband The Skyrockets and the years to follow found him doing the dance hall circuit with similar outfits, including the popular Gene and the Gents.
The road to recovery was almost complete when Henry started sitting in with the Fleadh Cowboys for their now legendary Sunday afternoon residency in The Lower Deck in Dublin.
It soon became apparent that Henry's contribution was an attraction in itself, so he formed his own band and toured Ireland in 1988.

While it is not certain what type of business Anderson entered we do know that a Henry McCullough and a Robert Anderson served as directors of Iron City Trust Company at 256 Liberty Street (now Liberty Avenue) in November 1859.
He was laid to rest in the McCullough lot in Section G of St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lawrenceville.

though they spell their last name differently our family historian say that the mccullough and mccollough names from pennsylvania should be though of as interchangable.

Bio: Part of the early-'70s British hard rock scene, Spooky Tooth grew out of the bluesy VIPs and prog-rock group Art and consisted of vocalist Mike Harrison, keyboardist/vocalist Gary Wright, guitarist Luther Grosvenor, bassist Greg Ridley, and drummer Mike Kellie.
The addition of three members of Joe Cocker's Grease Band -- Henry McCullough, Chris Stainton, and Alan Spenner -- was not enough to keep the band afloat, and Spooky Tooth broke up after The Last Puff in 1970.
A reunion in 1973 with Wright, Harrison, and future Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones produced several LPs, including the moderately successful You Broke My Heart So I Busted Your Jaw, but personnel shifts and a lack of top-notch material ended the project in 1974.

I enjoyed many a night in the pub with the Henry McCullough Band and would urge anyone who gets the chance to go see him perform.
