It is located on the southwest side of the Henrys Lake Mountains northern Fremont County, approximately 2 mi (3.2 km) south the continental divide along the Montana state line, just west of Targhee Pass.
Henrys Lake State Park is on the shore of the lake.

Gallatin River (Montana): Because of the warmer than normal temperatures for this time of the year this little beauty is producing fishing now that we normally would not expect until later in the month.
Warm River to Ashton: There are still a few fish looking for the salmon flies on this section of the river so I wouldn't want to be down there without a big old adult salmon fly imitation or two.
