Majesty - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
On a similar note almost all rulers of princely states in the British Empire were denied the Majesty style, only being recognized as His Highness, a style commonly used for sons (and other relatives) of a Majesty, since they were not sovereigns.
In the case of Emperors and Empresses, the style "His (or Her) Imperial Majesty" is used instead, where there may be several monarchs (Kings or Queens) that are considered to be under the jurisdiction of the Emperor/Empress.
Majesty is a Progressive Metal band formed in 1986 by guitarist John Petrucci, bassist John Myung, drummer Mike Portnoy, keyboardist Kevin Moore, and vocalist Chris Collins.

Cokemachineglow.com - Decemberists: Her Majesty the Decemberists
Her Majesty is so varied and interesting that the only fair way I could review this album would be to go song-by-song.
Not only does Her Majesty top their debut in nearly every way (despite not having a single song that is as ingeniously structured and executed as "Odalisque"), it manages to hold as much promise and life as "California One/Youth and Beauty Brigade" had us hoping the band would continue to embody.
For as much of a surprise Castaways and Cutouts may have been, Her Majesty will probably be the album to take most by surprise and convince them that this really isn't a gimmick, but a band of enormous talent with a seemingly endless amount of great ideas.

Her Majesty's Government - tScholars.com   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-12)
Her Majesty's Government, or when the sovereign is male, His Majesty's Government, abbreviated HMG, is the formal title used by the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the governments of some other kingdoms where executive authority is theoretically vested in the monarch and exercised through his or her ministers.
With the development of the Commonwealth, the self-governing Dominions came to be seen as realms of the British Sovereign equal in status to the United Kingdom, and from the 1920s and 30s the form "His Majesty's Government in..." began to be used by United Kingdom and Dominion governments.
The acronym HMG is often used by members of the government and their advisers as a convenient short label to describe British Ministers and the senior civil servants or mandarins in Departments of the United Kingdom Government.

Decemberists: Her Majesty The Decemberists: Pitchfork Record Review   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-12)
The Decemberists may never escape the label "quirky," which is a crime: Whatever the style, Colin Meloy's songwriting makes this band one of the strongest working today.
Its dreamy tone erred on the side of melancholy; by contrast, Her Majesty veers toward the theatrical as Meloy steps up the role-playing and tells more intricate stories.
It's winningly clever, and even if it's not the deepest song in their repertoire, you have to credit Meloy's enthusiasm when he practically drools the word "stevedore." It's just one display of the surgical precision of Meloy's lyrics, along with the taut ballad "Red Right Ankle", or the rich imagery of "Bachelor and the Bride".
