According to him, Goldstein told him a petition had been filed and that they were not to question em- ployees regarding their union activities or support, that they were to stay out of it.
Goldstein testified that he does not recall that he was aware at that time that Gutierrez had a brother in Respondent's employ.
The testimony of Goldstein and Adkins denying knowledge is supported by the evidence that the activity took place away from Respondent's premises and was so selective and secretive that employees who had become leaders in the Union by May had no knowledge, at that time, of the union activities.

President Herbert has said, now already several times, and I welcome very much welcome this, that we should have some idea of what an IU graduate ought to know, regardless of which campus he or she graduates from.
HERBERT: And ultimately, that becomes the responsibility that I have also is to assure that we are sensitive to the evolving needs of all the campuses.
HERBERT: I’d like to go back to the question about the, about whether or not these are pipe dreams and it’s worth going forward.

Later on the slim book by Landau, Lifshitz, "Mechanics", entered the scene and showed that Goldstein's program could be made better, briefer, and that the Hamilton-Jacobi equation, clearly and sensibly derived, was the jewel of the crown.
Goldsteins book is one that just seems to of been around forever.Even though this was written in 1980 he has deliberatley avoided the 'modern' developments such as Abraham and Marsden and the towering genius of 20th century mechanics Arnold.

The book by Friedhelm Kuypers is also another nice book, the unfortunate thing is it is called Klassische Mekanik, -in German-, no body ever traslated it.
Let us give all the best credit to Professor Goldstein for his contributions to Orthodox Jewish society and science as well, but be aware of the fact that his book is not a Bible in this field, let me kindly just say that the book was not his greatest achievement.
Use the references well, take your time, try to enjoy, cause you will not have any other choice but this book in the graduate school.
