  Herbert Greenfield - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Herbert Greenfield (November 25, 1869 in Winchester, England – August 23, 1949 in Calgary), Canadian politician, was Premier of Alberta between 1921 and 1925.
Greenfield was president of the Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and an interim Vice-President of the UFA.
As well, beginning in 1923, Greenfield was often absent due to illness.

Greenfield, Herbert, farmer, politician, businessman, premier of Alberta 1921-25 (b at Winchester, Eng 25 Nov 1867; d at Calgary 23 Aug 1949).
Greenfield migrated to Canada in 1892 and established a homestead N of Edmonton in 1906.
Sworn in as premier, provincial secretary and provincial treasurer on 13 Aug 1921, Greenfield led the novice UFA government in its response to drought and credit problems of Alberta farmers and its assistance in establishing a voluntary wheat pool and other commodity marketing pools.

Herbert Greenfield was born on November 25, 1869, at Winchester, England.
In 1906, Herbert Greenfield moved to the Westlock district of Alberta in order to homestead and became a successful farmer and was active in community affairs.
Herbert Greenfield died on August 23, 1949, at Calgary, Alberta, and was buried in the Union Cemetery in that city.

When the UFA entered electoral politics and unexpectedly won the 1921 provincial election, he was recruited to serve in the new government as Attorney-General.
In 1925, due to dissatisfaction with the leadership of Premier Herbert Greenfield, Brownlee was recruited to become the new Premier and UFA leader.
Brownlee led the party to victory in the 1926 and 1930 provincial elections.

I was never introduced to Herbert Huncke but I did see him "around town" a bit before he died on August 8, 1996 in a New York City hospital.
