		Turner is a small lunar impact crater that lies in the of the Mare Insularum, near the equator of the Moon.
		Turner is a circular, cone-shaped crater with inner walls that slope down to the mid-point.
		A similar-sized ghost-crater is attached to the western rim, its interior floor submerged by lava and the surviving rim broken in the southwest.

		Turner, a mere infant when these events took place, hoped that Huggins, who had twice met Rutherfurd, would be able to provide some "local colour" for the essay drawn from those early days of stellar spectroscopy.
		Huggins had little to offer Turner on the first count, but he was happy to provide a brief chronology of events related to spectroscopic examination of starlight.
		Turner's failure to reveal in Rutherfurd's obituary the source of information about the sequence of events in the early 1860s transformed Huggins' personal and self-serving recollection into a disinterested chronology which readers could accept at face value.

		Nat Turner, born into slavery in Southampton County, Virginia in 1800, felt himself marked for a special purpose.
		Turner intepreted signs such as solar eclipses to mean that he must lead an insurrection against whites who held fls in slavery, and on August 22, 1831, Turner and a small cadre of other slaves began a rebellion, killing five people at the home of Joseph Travis.
		Nat Turner was hanged on November 11, 1831, but not before being interviewed by Thomas Gray, his court-appointed attorney.
