Heracles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The most famous group of stories tell of The Twelve Labours of Herakles.
His Etruscan equivalent was Hercle, a son of Tinia and Uni.
He was also identified with Heryshaf (Egyptian mythology).

 The goddess Menerva
Hercle must have played a major role in the sanctuary, probably next to Menerva: his statue is among the ones on the roof top and, moreover, he is depicted in one of the two fragmented terracotta statues, that have been found in the cella of the temple.
Next to her is Hercle, depicted as a young, musculous man without a beard and with curly hair.
Hercle doesn't not wear the lion skin on his head and shoulders, like he his usually depicted in Greek and Roman art, but tied around his waist to cover his loins.

Hercle, the Etruscan version of the Greek hero Herakles, is here depicted as a nude youth, standing relaxed with his weight on one foot.
Hercle wears the skin on his head with the front paws tied around his neck.
This seemingly old-fashioned element in the statue is offset by the artist's knowledge of recent developments in Greek sculpture, as evidenced by the figure's contrapposto pose.
