What tickled me even more about this CD is that my youngest learned her ABCs before she turned one, just from reciting the songs over and over and over and over and over again...
Both of them loved it; Dad and baby both love "D is for Drums" and "E eats everything." I'm a finicky person when it comes to music, and I was a little wary of the idea of TMBG doing children's music.

I have been starved for TMBG information as of late (as seen by the stagnant forum here) So this is really exciting to see some new stuff.
I saw some frame grabs a A PIECE OF TMBG and it looks awesome, and i especially like the cover art, complete with some stylin' sock puppets of the Johns.

Some parents may expect them to be an overly annoying group with distasteful songs for their family and children just from the name of the group and their lack of knowledge on the band.
While I’m not sure if adult fans of TMBG will want to pick this up there is at least one good thing to say about “Here Comes the ABC’s”: It’s fairly hip children’s music that does what it set out to do.
It’s a much more fun alternative to what could be done to learn all the letters but for adults there is little substance and actual albums would be better.

, Here Come the ABCs is a bit of a let-down only in comparison to such a strong disc.
Part of this is probably due to the deliberate narrowing of subject matter of the new disc.
Since this CD was created with a companion DVD in mind, some of the songs ("Can You Find It?," "Letter/Not A Letter," "Letter Shapes") seem deficient without any accompanying visuals (I'll address whether or not that's actually the case in an upcoming review of the DVD).
