The median income for a household in the township is $49,046, and the median income for a family is $52,845.

Conditions at Proposal (July 29, 1991): The Crossley Farm site covers approximately 24 acres along Huff's Church Road in Hereford Township in a rural part of Berks County, Pennsylvania.
In September 1983, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources (PA DER) detected elevated levels of TCE and tetrachloroethene in residential wells downgradient of the Crossley Farm site.
PA DER issued a health advisory regarding use of the contaminated wells, and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency provided a temporary water supply.
