and G. tomentella Hayata are predominantly tetraploid (2n=80) with occasional diploid, or in the case of G. tomentella, aneuploid populations (Newell and Hymowitz, 1978a).
A diagnostic feature of G. clandestine often used to separate it from G. tabacina is the digitate arrangement of the leaf, whereby the three leaflets arise from a common point on the petiole.
It is therefore suggested, on morphological and cytological grounds, that true G. clandestine is restricted to Australia, whereas the forms usually identified as G. clandestine from islands west of Taiwan and the Ryukyus are narrow-leaved variants of the G. tabacina which is found throughout the area.

 Hermann Goering
Commander-in-Chief of the Luftwaffe, President of the Reichstag, Prime Minister of Prussia and, as Hitler's designated successor, the second man in the Third Reich, Hermann Goering was born in Rosenheim on January 12, 1893.
In 1936 his powers were further extended by his appointment as Plenipotentiary for the implementation of the Four Year Plan, which gave him virtually dictatorial controls to direct the German economy.
The creation of the state-owned Hermann Goering Works in 1937, a gigantic industrial nexus which employed 700,000 workers and amassed a capital of 400 million marks, enabled him to accumulate a huge fortune.

Hermann Maier of Austria dominated the men's super giant slalom.
Austrian favourite Hermann Maier got too close to a gate on an early jump, flew in the air at 70 m.p.h., flipped three to four times, crashed on his head and shoulder, and tumbled completely through two sets of safety nets before he got up and walked away.
Hermann Maier was in good position after the slalom portion but had to drop out of the combined downhill because of his great downhill crash earlier that day.

One of the earliest Stuka pilots to serve in a specialized tank-destroying Staffel, or squadron, was Hermann Neumann.
