Theres nothing wrong with the name Herod, i personally think it suits him better.
Also, from the trailer the film actually looks pretty decent- I was worried they'd dumb it down loads into pretty much another film like Spy Kids or something, but this looks pretty decent.
Horowitz changed the name Herod to Darrius because he didn't think Mickey Rourke (actor) looked like a Herod.
