		Before Rammstein recorded their international hit song, "Du Hast," they were writing music that was every bit as intense: music which appeared on their first disc Herzeleid.
		There are many great songs on Herzeleid, including the driving "Asche Zu Asche," the calmer bass-led ballad "Seemann," and the muscular techno/metal "Du Reichst So Gut." The mid-paced "Das Alte Leid" is full of surprisingly catchy heavy riffs and celestial keyboards, which are combined with a well-sung chorus.
		Herzeleid is an immediately fulfilling metal album, complete with the best industrial pounding rhythms to be heard since the emergence of Ministry.

		In the lyrical booklet for Herzeleid, the lyrics are printed in French, because according to the band, no one would be disturbed if it was in French.
		The song is titled Rammstein, with two "m's", after the band, but it refers to the Ramstein airshow disaster of 1988.
		While performing the song in the 2004-05 "Ahoi" tour, the jacket was replaced with dual arm mounted flame throwers(although the jacket was worn once during a performance in Japan).

		I've only heard a lq bootleg of the song and it sounded great (the song, the quality was horrible :snigger:).
		Herzeleid is my favourite, as it is the most "industrial" CD by them.
		There's a couple of songs that were later re-recorded and released on singles, etc. Anyway, their new CD, Rosenrot, is coming out sometime in November.

		As an aside, this particular song, along with the final track, "Rammstein", was featured prominently (and to deeply chilling effect) in David Lynch's classic film Lost Highway.
		Herzeleid is slower but still heavy and the singer does the lyrics a word or 2 at a time and it has a nice keyboard solo.
		Every song sounds different from thefirst to the last, which is somewhat a rarity for me. I also love the lead vocalist's singing.

		And Rammstein may be a little repetitive at times though they are extrememly far from forgettable and you can just easily get their songs stuck in your head and sing alonge to them.
		While there are many guitarists more complex than them i would still prefer them more then some of those complex guitarists because its the sound that really matters to me and the sound they make on their guitars which really pleases me. Oh and don't get me wrong, they are complex at times.
		The album isn't as electronicy as their others, however the album is more gothic, dark and haunting, and near the end of the album they have experimented a bit with punk and they had succeeded quite well with it.

		The same pattern continues for the next three songs, "Der Meister" (The Master), "Weisses Fleisch" (White Meat), and "Asche Zu Asche" (Ashes To Ashes)...they all have the relentless brutal attack with interesting electronic keyboards and the robotic yet catchy vocals.
		It's one of their best songs, and was one of the two on the Lost Highway soundtrack...in part of the chorus there's even a repeat of "Hei", the first three letters of "Heirate" in what I think is an obvious attempt to play up their fascist image...these guys have fun!

		Alot of people really dont liek Das Alte Leid and Herzeleid these (especially Herzeleid Live) are some of my favorite songs Das Alte leid has Fantastic Music and Herzeleid is meaningfull.My least Fave song at the moment is probally Spieluhr cos im still tryin to comprehend it all.
		I don't listen to these, ever, there are some other songs though that I skip sometimes, but basically I like them all except the two above.
