Hickman County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky.
It is the least densely populated county in the state and is a prohibition or dry county.
In the county the population was spread out with 22.10% under the age of 18, 6.90% from 18 to 24, 26.70% from 25 to 44, 25.90% from 45 to 64, and 18.50% who were 65 years of age or older.

Hickman County, the seventy-first county in order of formation, is located in the Jackson Purchase region of Kentucky and is bounded by the Mississippi River, Carlisle, Graves, and Fulton counties, and the Tennessee state line.
Because of a change in the main channel of the Mississippi, a small section of the county, known as Wolf Island, lies to the west of the river and borders Missouri.
The population of the county was 6,264 in 1970; 6,065 in 1980; and 5,566 in 1990.
