Hide and seek - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hide and seek (sometimes also called hide and go seek) is a popular tag variant that is best played in areas with lots of potential hiding spots, such as a forest or a large house.
A game similar to hide and seek, but played with babies, is called peekaboo (peek a boo).
An adult-child hide and seek is usually played as a two person game, involving one adult searching for a single hidden child.

Hide and Seek Movie Review at Hollywood Video
"Hide and seek" is her new pal's favorite game, Emily informs her father, and it all seems harmless enough, until a series of cruel pranks becomes ever more elaborate and dangerous—and far too complicated for a child to pull off on her own.
And in Hide and Seek, just out on DVD, her Bette Davis eyes are pools of grief and terror as the child whose new best friend appears to harbor an alarming homicidal streak.
Sure, elements of Hide and Seek are derivative—that's bound to happen when the number of movies produced exceeds the number of possible twists—but the bottom line is that this movie is highly compelling and utterly creepy.

First you pick someone to be it (the person to seek) then he/she turns around and counts with their eyes closed at the "base" while the rest of the people hide.
The game was just a hide and seek game, except that when you finally found the people, you had to hold onto them long enough to say, "Manhunt, Manhunt, 1-2-3" 3 times.
There is one person that is "Jason" (either by eenie meenie moe or a new person that has joined the game) and Jason hides their eyes and counts to 100 while everyone else in the game hides in the neighborhood.

Hide and Seek - Movie Review
More important, though, is the way the twist is handled by the film, and this is where 'Hide and Seek' goes wrong, revealing its hand about fifteen minutes too early, and then dissolving into a ridiculous cat-and-mouse chase that is too trite to maintain any level of tension.
Sadly, the same is true of his second American feature, the equally derivative 'Hide and Seek', which takes a potentially terrifying premise and turns it unintentionally into something like farce.
It would be criminal to reveal the twist to 'Hide and Seek' - let's just say that anyone who has been keeping up with recent horror films from South Korea or France will not find the ending too much of a surprise.

The biggest part of the rather small success of 'Hide and Seek' is carried by the talented Dakota Fanning.
Her role is actually the smallest of them all and barely worth a mention but she walks through the screen quite a few times and that's plenty for me. The big roles of the movie are being held by Rober De Niro and Dakota Fanning.

Hide and Seek and Cellular by John Ottman Cinemusic.net Soundtrack Review
Hide and Seek finds the composer firmly planted in Christopher Young Zone, where the orchestra suavely lays down a sense of sophisticated dread with long melodic lines alongside cutting stingers and darkly romantic string textures ("Exploring", "Toy Shrine").
It's unclear whether a January sacrificial theatrical release like Hide and Seek will do much to bolster the composer's status, but on CD it proves to be a solid thriller score that never offends for it's forty-minute plus run time.
In the broad scheme of things, Hide and Seek is not going to fold your laundry or change the oil in your car.

I will not hesitate to characterize Michael Mantler's new CD 'Hide and Seek' as a triumph.
At last, "Hand To Mouth", a collection of miscellaneous writings by Auster appeared, which included his short play "Hide and Seek".
This is music which confirms Mantler's unique, but also vulnerable position, because of the characteristic musical language which has been with him for so many years, and which has made it difficult to tie him to any specific musical genre.

Hollywood Gothique: Hide and Seek (2005) Review
This mechanical construction robs HIDE AND SEEK of any genuine impact, reminding us once again that the surprise ending of Hitchcock's PSYCHO works because, in retrospect, it is integral to the story.
With its slick production values and solid cast, HIDE AND SEEK cannot help generating a few scares, but by the end the misguided story-telling has undermined any attempt to create a solid, serious thriller.
