		High Barnet tube station is a London Underground station in High Barnet in north London.
		High Barnet station was planned by the Edgware, Highgate and London Railway (EHandLR) and was originally opened in 1872 by the Great Northern Railway (which had taken over the EHandLR).
		The section of the High Barnet branch north of East Finchley was incorporated into the London Underground network through the "Northern Heights" project begun in the late 1930s.

		You take a right into Barnet High Street and the ground is at the bottom of Barnet Hill near the junction with Station Road (A110), on the right.
		From High Barnet, it's left down Barnet Hill and the ground is across the road at the junction in Fairfield Way.

		Another new season begins and, yet again, Barnet are in trouble and, as usual, the trouble is their ground, the aptly-named Underhill Stadium.
		Barnet fans may disagree, but from an outsiders point-of-view there never seemed to be a good reason as to why the club couldn't get the ground up to scratch, and now the club seems to be paying the price for that decade of inertia off the pitch.
