		I totally agree with your two correspondents on the unreasonable increases enforced by Barnet Council without consultation (Exorbitant rise in parking charges is totally unjustified' and 'Permit increases are unfair', Letters, March 4).
		We did not vote for it on the basis that it could be used as an additional tool for raising more income in addition to the council tax.
