		today reminiscing about highway to heaven offers a relaxing retreat to my childhood, a leisurely time before i had to meet deadlines, write fifty page papers for my mass comm theory class, or be concerned about paying tuition bills.
		I must admit, I thought HTH was pretty cheesy too, a few years ago, but now, having seen more of the modern TV shows (sitcoms are the main culprits), I vote with the latter, and say that Highway to Heaven never JTS.
		No, Highway to Heaven is, although preachy at times, one of the better shows I have seen in a long time, in terms of good family viewing.

		Luckily for the show, there's not an uncomfortably large section of Highway to Heaven dedicated to spiritual grandstanding - Michael Landon is able to be both decidedly Christian and everyman simultaneously.
		And while the show definitely stays true to the strict structure rubrics of its nature - for better or for worse, Highway to Heaven stuck to what it did during its run - there are enough moderate difficulties in the show's universe to keep Landon busy.
