Mirumoto Hiigara is not of Armengar, he is not even from this side of the world.
Hiigara once found this Peace within the confines of the Mirumoto dojo where he trained in the sword for six years of his life.
The Centai were called into the Emerald champions presence and commanded to journey far beyond the boundaries of the Empire and recover the last piece of Shinjo's Mirror, A powerful artifact given to her by the first Emperor almost nine hundred years ago.

Despite all his skill with a blade and the respect of his men Hiigara knew in his heart that the leading men on the field of battle was not his path.
Hiigara had been weeks from leaving the service of the empire and entering the brotherhood of Shinsei when the Champion had summoned the Centai to perform a quest to find the missing piece from the mirror of Shinjo.
Hiigara pondered why the Emerald Champion had sent a Centai without any Unicorn to complete this task several times in the months that had followed.

Before the final level of the Homeworld campaign [return to Hiigara], there is the familiar loading screen that displays a map of the galaxy and some simple navigational charts.
The small image in the upper left of the screen displays what appears to be a map of the Hiigara system, also showing a hyperspace path from near the orbit of the sixth planet, to direct orbit of the third planet.
Hiigara seems to be towards the edge of the Galactic Bulge, a few thousand light years out from the core.

 History
In their haste to depart Kharak and set out on their quest to reach Hiigara and reclaim their birthright, the Kushan were still ignorant of their past until they met the Bentusi, and later the Kadeshi in the Garden (Nebula) of Kadesh, many months after leaving their place of exile on the rim.
Unfortunately for the Kushan, owing to the remote location of the star cluster, it was some time before a Snow Raven probe discovered the remains of Kharak and, importantly, the remains of the scaffold with which the Kushan had constructed their Mother ship.
However, since the Kushan reached Hiigara and the Galactic Council recognized our right to the world, we are still too small to be considered a sovereign power and many of our lost clans remain to be found, not to mention the fact that our numerous enemies are still mighty starfaring powers.

 Hiigara
The Kushan was a powerful empire divided into extended families called kiithid, centered on the planet of Hiigara before they fell from grace in a war and were exiled from their world on pain of death.
First discovered aboard the Guidestone on the Khar-Toba, the word 'Hiigara' is "a word more ancient than the clans themselves." It translates to 'home' and is the only word which all the languages of the Kushan have in common, illustrating its ancient, binding origin.
The real-life origin of this invented word may be related to the Islamic word Hegira, referring to the Prophet Muhammed's historic flight from Mecca to Medina.

Hiigara utilizes a defense network with multiple layers which makes any attempting to cull the Hiigaran people think twice.
Although they are only 5% of the defensive force combined, they are the 5% that is most combat-hardened; hundreds of raiders attack Hiigara each year and attempt to sieze valuable cargo that floods in and out from the planet, and many have fallen to these first responders.
These bases contain roughly 60% of Hiigara's Defense force at any given time, and are more than capable of removing any threat to the sacred planet.

The story of the Kushan Exodus to Hiigara is widely known and often told; most of us already know all about the voyage.
Kharakian fruits and grains were adapted to conditions of high heat and radiation, and very little precipitation; when our people built their first farms on Hiigara, they were hard-pressed to find any land that would favor the thick-skinned, shallow-rooted crops that had been our staple foods for centuries.
The vast majority of Kharakian food plants are drowned or washed away in heavy rains, and even those that can survive the rain are often killed by the vast array of hostile microbes in the Hiigaran soil; our scientists are cataloging a new species of killing fungus every day.

Hovercrafts are now in common use in Hiigara and its colonies although in the outer limits of the Federation primitive hovercraft with cheaper technology are used, skimming over the ground but unable to lift higher than one foot at maximum power.
