Among the 26 schools that the Himalayan Trust has built for Sherpa education, Khumjung is the first school and the only high school for the people of Khumbu.
Ang Rita of the Himalayan Trust is setting up a special bank account in Kathmandu for the monks college so that the funds will be accountable and used for that purpose only.
