Himizu Ryu (火水流) is a Japanese martial art system thought to have originated in 1609.
Also known as "himizu ryu sogo sento kagaku hoho" (火水流統合戦闘科学方法) meaning "fire water school - comprehensive combative scientific system".
Himizu Ryu teaches all four major forms of combat including striking, throwing, restraining and weaponry thereby being known as a comprehensive martial art (統合武術 "sogo bujutsu") See: ju-jutsu for more information.

 Bullshido: No BS Martial Arts - Himizu Ryu and Chuck Greer.
He constantly scours the web for his name and that of Himizu Ryu, so he will almost certainly find this thread and post about it under a pseudonym as he does on all other websites.
The only people he ever talks about being involved with Himizu Ryu are himself, his grandfather (his sensei), Chuck's own students, and occassionally he will mention random nameless people that he trained with in Japan.
I spoke with him because I had heard that Chuck Greer's Himizu Ryu was becoming an official university club and was using some on-campus facilities.

Rick Fine of Kim Soo Martial Arts heads a Daito ryu aikijujutsu study group operating under the authority of Daito ryu hombu-cho Katsuykui Kondo and teaches a style of Hapkido, this might be ideal.
FYI...Anyone claiming to teach aikijujutsu who is not directly linked to Daito ryu (not aikido) in some way is almost certainly not teaching real aikijujutsu.

I was suspicious when the information on the website seemed to be "lifted" from other sources when I researched the himizu ryu.
I wasted 4 years with that school in TX (did not have internet access for the first 3 years, so I was a victim of poverty)and I do not believe I will spend anymore time on this "ryu" and find another way.
Greer is the highest ranked person in himizu ryu.
