The colours of the five regiments of Foot Guards have the pattern of the line infantry reversed, with the Queen's Colour being crimson and the Regimental Colour a variation of the Union Flag.
Royal Australian Navy: The Queen's Colour of the RAN is a variation of the Australian White Ensign - it is a reverse of the Australian flag (white with blue stars), with the Royal Cypher and Garter band positioned between the Commonwealth Star and the stars representing the Southern Cross.
Canadian Forces Maritime Command (the 'navy'): The Queen's Colour of Maritime Command is a variation of the Canadian Naval Jack - it is white, with the Canadian flag in the canton, the Royal Cypher for Canada in the centre and the symbol of the navy in the lower fly.

A GUIDON is an heraldic banner carried by cavalry regiments, the equivalent of the colours borne by regiments of line infantry.
Until about a century ago, guidons and colours were taken into battle as the distinguishing symbols and rallying points for fighting units.
The Guidons were carried with a mounted escort of 16 riders from the QMI historical troop and the 2ic and the Adjutant of the Regiment.

Historically, the chapel would normally be selected by the Regiment, and would have been based primarily on the Commanding Officer's decision.
In many garrisons, one church was designated the garrison chapel and used by the Regiments that rotated through the station; I would suspect that in many cases it depended upon the religious background of the social group from which the officers and the majority of the other ranks of a regiment were composed.
The Windsor Regiment carries a Guidon with no battle honours because the personnel from that Regiment was used as a replacement pool for the 1st Hussars, Ontario Regiment and Governer Generals Horse Guards...............

The warrant for Jersey was unusual in that it could not be issued under the provisions of the Order in Council 9 July 1864 which abolished Squadron Colours, since the States of Jersey were not a Public Department, nor under the Colonial Naval Defence Act of 1865, since Jersey was not a colony.
According to my old stand-by, Colours of the Fleet, the blue was darkened in 1869 when the Admiralty standardised the naval Union Flag at 1:2, with a narrower St Patrick's saltire.
The Pantone colours (186 for the red and 280 for blue) are the official ones for the Union Flag and all UK derivatives (Bartram 2004).

I was recently contacted from the staff of the Croatian Historical Museum, informing me that they have put up their site with lots of images of the items they are preserving.
For those who are not familiary with the exhibition on flags from their collection that the Museum made in 1996, this is a great place to start.
When analyzing this image we should therefore have in mind that it was coloured afterwards and prossibly by someone who was not rpesent on the ceremony and the colours therefore are assumed.

A different question is that certain old regiments —such as the Inmemorial del Rey, one of the oldest continuously-existing units in the world— keep reproductions of their old coronela colours and use them in certain occasions in order to maintain their traditions, but unofficially and not subject to Regulations.
The red-yellow-red colours were introduced in 1843, even if some units kept using the old coronela colours until the first years of the 20th century.
The three flags were made in the 1940's (early after the Spanish Civil War), since they display the former Air Force emblem (which was no longer used after the early 1950's) and the units named on the flags no longer exist.

This is the guidon carried by the Hungarian cavalry in Mexican service.
The colours are not in fact Mexican, it is merely a swallow-tailed version of the Hungarian flag.
This a French Foreign Legion flag: Infantry units would have their own unit title on the obverse, with unit mottos or battle honours on the reverse.
