Turkey Mill was fulling cloth (cloth thickening) in the seventeenth century and was recorded as a fulling mill between the years 1629 and 1671.
However, Turkey red dye processing was used in connection with fulling and it is thought that for a short period the mill was used for grinding Turkey wheat, a corn from India.

The Turkey Trot was not a very graceful dance, but is considered one of the first of the so called animal dances to catch on with the public.
Many people thought of the Turkey Trot as demoralizing and tried "Bans" on the dance but this only added to it's popularity, even the Castles tried to eliminate this dance from society in 1914, even tho it was the dance that gave them their first break in the business.
