We are affiliated to the Hertfordshire FA and have teams competing in the Royston Crow League, Mid Herts League and Chiltern Junior 7's at age levels from Under 8 to Under 17.
It was a freezing, windy, December morning that Hitchin met Celtic in Luton.  The boys knew it might be a hard match with Celtic needing a win and us needing a draw or a win to go  top of the table.

Little was recorded about the life of the catholic community over the ensuing centuries until 1890 when Fr Spink, a member of the Fathers of St Andrew (hence our second title) celebrated Mass for twelve Catholics in a house in Nightingale Road.
Troubles in France at around this time meant that the Fathers of St Edmund and the Sisters of the Sacred Heart were expelled from their houses there and came to settle in Hitchin.
The Altar (and, since March 31st 2000, the Baptismal Font) together with the tabernacle base and candlesticks are of Travertine marble, a stone which is similar to that found in the Pantheion and St Peter's in Rome.

The Hitchin Lacrosse Club was founded in 1980 by Ray Harry.
After playing at various grounds in North Hertfordshire the club joined the Hitchin Cricket Club and now play all their home games at Lucas Lane.
This brought a new dimension to the club and lead to the development of a strong mixed team in addition to the two men's teams and the Hitchin Hackers junior team.
