		In Hithaeglir was later delved Moria and the highest peaks became known as Fanuidhol, Caradhras and Celebdil in the Second and Third Age.
		In the angle between the Mountains of Angmar and northern Hithaeglir was the Ettenmoors, Hoardale and the Coldfells.
		At the east side of Hithaeglir (in the north) raised Mount Gundabad its peak in the conjunction with Ered Mithrin and the Mountains of Angmar.

		This land was known as Dor Daidelos during the First Age, but most of it was destroyed in the breaking of Arda.
		In the maps of the Second and Third Age it looked like the Ered Mithrin were but a northern arm of the Hithaeglir, but in truth this mountain range was far older, stemming from the creation of Arda, whereas the Misty Mountains had not been raised until after the Years of the Lamps.
		The stretch of mountains west of the Hithaeglir which still formed one range with the Grey Mountains was known as the Mountains of Angmar, another remnant of the Ered Engrin.

		I was surprised) But even if I forget about the Mithaeglir and only tried to orient me on the blue mountains I didn't get a clue where the hell middle eath is, if you are looking from the silmarill map.

		I have read The Silmarillion and have begun it again, and have come upon a line that intrigues me. In "The Coming of the Elves" it states: "this river was even the river that was called Anduin the Great and was ever the frontier of the west lands of Middle-earth.
		But the mountains were the Hithaeglir, the Towers of Mist upon the borders of Eriador." Anyway it says they were reared by Melkor to hinder the riding of Oromë;.
		The Sindarin translation of Hithaeglir is "mist-peak-line." I have always found it funny that Melkor’s efforts produced something that was not quite as horrible, fl, and evil as all the other things he put forth.
