It's now December, and Hitman has hit the shelves, and I am here to tell you that Hitman is a lot of fun...if you have the patience for the game's steep, STEEP learning curve.
In Hitman, you play, well, a hit man. You wear a stylish fl suit-and-tie ensemble, sport a shaven head, and are dispatched by a faceless person who represents "The Agency," which sends you on your various missions (read: they're the people who tell you who to kill).

Hitman #55 Review - Silver Bullet Comics
Garth Ennis is fast becoming a legendary figure in comic book circles, certainly he's one of the best modern comic writers and what is more, his creative juices aren't showing any signs of drying up.
Also, Hitman is usually very easy to get into; however, as it's in the middle of a plot thread, new readers may wish to procure issues 53 and 54 as well, if you can get them, so you know what is going on.
Hitman is highly recommended for all, it's a truly excellent work and it features a very rare thing in comics.

Hitman holds a special place in the world of the stealth game.
I know some have griped about some old Hitman levels from the original game, but many have not played those levels and they play very well with the newer gameplay style of the modern Hitman games.
It seems that these days gamers are expecting some of that to increase the replay value of their games and Eidos is behind the curve on this one.

Action Vault - Hitman 2: Silent Assassin Review
In that title, players assumed the role of the shadowy, numerically monikered titular killer, whose enigma was compounded by the mystery of his origins and true identity, his only raison d'etre seemingly to seek out and exterminate distinguished individuals who would pay for his monetary gain with their blood.
In the sequel, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, players can once again don the appropriately funereal fl garb of the genetically enhanced character, who has been forced to return to his heinous profession by members of an iniquitous organization.
Touted in its first incarnation, Hitman: Codename 47, in 2000 as a "thinking man's third-person shooter", it garnered praise for its open-ended mission structure and combination of stealth and action gameplay.

Take Clothes is the heart and soul of the Hitman series thus far - the ability to disguise yourself as someone that belongs in that location, to avoid suspicion and gain access to new areas without killing the people previously preventing you from going there.

Hitman (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hitman is a violent, darkly humorous and occasionally romantic comic book from DC Comics, written by Garth Ennis and illustrated by John McCrea.
Although the character was given "Hitman" as a codename in his first appearance, he only referred to himself by that name once in his own series, in the very first issue; the rest of the time, he is referred to by his given name, although he was sometimes called "Hitman" in guest appearances.
Hitman was first published as a 60-issue comic book series with one annual, one "DC One Million" tie-in issue and one crossover with Lobo.

UGO.com Games - Hitman 2: Silent Assassin Review of the Eidos action/adventure game
You are a genetically charged super assassin with a bald head and two very large pistols for anyone who calls him "cue ball." The original was definitely stealth-oriented, with many of the missions requiring a silent approach and exit, taking out your target with nary a guard the wiser.
Unfortunately, the cool elements of Hitman were ruined by some extraordinarily bad decisions by the developer.
So really what Hitman 2 does is take what Hitman did well, multiply it by several, and burn everything else from that game into the deep recesses of hell.

The series has long been feeling like it's treading water, particularly after "For Tomorrow." "The Old Dog" was emotionally wrenching but shamefully predictable, but issue #50, the epilogue, seemed a perfect place to end the series.
Tommy had a fight with Tiegel, who can't deal with his job (remember when this used to be an interesting relationship, before Ennis forgot she was in the book?).
Most of the satire directed at the character is fairly limp, since, as I noted with Christopher Priest's Dirty Wolff in last month's Deadpool, the character as written by his co-creator Keith Giffen was supposed to be satirical, over-the-top.
