  Welcome to Home Nursing Foundation
As a charitable, non-profit organisation, HNF provides heavy subsidies to its needy elderly patients whose fees are determined by a means test based on their monthly per capita income.
As a result, some HNF patients do not have to pay for their home nursing visits whereas others pay between $15 to $35 per home visit.

Furthermore, the data suggest that HNF4 may be responsible for the final commitment of a small portion of the oval cells to differentiate into hepatocytes that form the basophilic foci and eventually regenerate the liver parenchyma (Nagy, 1994).
Hepatocyte nuclear factors (HNFs) are a heterogeneous class of evolutionarily conserved transcription factors that are required for cellular differentiation and metabolism.
The ability to dissect the process to at least four temporally separable steps, all of which could be influenced by physiological signals, further emphasizes the complexity of the pathways that have evolved to regulate differential gene expression (Hatzis, 2003).

The synergistic action of hepatocyte nuclear factor (HNF)- 1a and HNF-4 plays an important role in expression of the a1-antitrypsin (a1-AT) gene in human hepatic and intestinal epithelial cells.
The results show that a1-AT gene expression in H441 cells is predominantly driven by HNF-1ß, even though HNF-1ß has no effect on a1-AT gene expression in human hepatic Hep G2 and human intestinal epithelial Caco-2 cell lines.
Expression of a1-AT and HNF- 1ß was also demonstrated in primary cultures of human respiratory epithelial cells.
